WebI have twins and one rolled wizard and the other a sorcerer. Both chose Thunder Wave as a spell. Basically they are steamrolling every encounter that has more than 2-3 enemies by just blasting them, including once while my wife the cleric was in the way. After the encounters they go outside and rest again to regain their spell slots. WebI mean, if a player doesnt have the knowledge that Spells can have either Thunder or Lightning damage, given that both Thunder and Lightning naturally happen in basically the same weather conditions and you usually dont have one without the other, the player just made an educated guess and assumed lightning and thunder was the same for DnD …
