Posted April 27, 2014. i/o shield is an adaptable dust shield. with the newer cases being powder coated. there is limited/none static or grounding. it was a thing years ago, but now with all. the redundancy of PSU wiring, mobo static guards, and over-volt caps discharge. on connect/disconnect is really a non-issue.
