WebPorth Oer (also known as Porthor) is an inlet of the Irish Sea located on the Llyn Peninsula in the north west of Wales. Porth Oer is located north of Aberdaron and west of Rhoshirwaun. The beach is known as Whistling Sands (because of the squeaking sound made by the sand as you walk on it). The beach is in the care of the National Trust.
